Nettie Gibbs
(She/Her)
I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, adults, and families—particularly young girls struggling with self-worth, body image, and finding their voice. With 10 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate crises, I focus on depression, anxiety, and trauma, creating a safe and supportive space for healing and growth.
My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Family Systems Theory, helping clients understand their emotions, challenge negative thoughts, and build stronger connections with themselves and others.
I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including care coordination, school social work, clinical program development, and outpatient therapy for adolescents, adults, and families. I also have experience facilitating support groups on depression, anxiety, healthy relationships, and anger management and leading workshops on suicide prevention and mental health awareness.
As a Black therapist with lived experience, I understand the unique challenges young girls face. In our work together, you’ll have a safe space to talk openly, challenge self-doubt, and build the confidence to show up as your authentic self. Whether you’re navigating friendships, social pressures, or simply trying to feel more comfortable in your own skin, I’ll help you develop the tools to feel strong, secure, and self-assured.
Healing takes time, but you don’t have to go through it alone.
